FRAMES WITHOUT BORDERS

Michael and Michaela Roos collect old, defective and used spectacle frames for a good cause. The aim is to avoid waste and help people in developing countries get glasses. Many glasses are still wearable and can give another person a better quality of life in a “second life”.

EDA – Entwicklungsdienst Deutscher Augenoptiker e.V.

EDA is a team of German opticians, with heart and hand, who go to another culture for a few weeks and get fully involved there. They are happy to share their knowledge with others in developing countries so that people there can learn the craft of optometry and citizens can have access to spectacle frames.

TOGO-HILFE e.V.

The core objective of Togo-Hilfe e.V. is to provide the people of Togo with charitable help to help themselves. Michael Firmenich is an optician and regularly travels to Togo to perform eye examinations on the local people and, if necessary, to make glasses. We regularly donate to Togo-Hilfe so that people in Togo can get glasses and improve their quality of life.
